The sandy ray, Leucoraja circularis, is a skate in the family Rajidae that lives on the seabed of the northeastern Atlantic and adjacent waters. Records place it from Iceland and northern Europe to northwest Africa, with additional occurrence in the Mediterranean; reported depth limits extend from about 10 to 800 metres. It has a short snout, rounded disc tips, a spine-covered upper surface, and can reach roughly 1.2 metres in total length. It is a benthic species associated with sandy bottoms.
