Tugtupite is a rare beryllium aluminum silicate mineral in the feldspathoid group. It is best known from localities in Greenland, where it occurs in alkaline igneous rocks and may appear white, pink, red, or violet. Some specimens show tenebrescence, meaning that their color changes or intensifies after exposure to ultraviolet light or sunlight, and many specimens also fluoresce.
