description Microparia Overview

Microparia is an extinct genus of Ordovician marine trilobites in the family Cyclopygidae. Its fossils are recorded from Europe and China, and the genus includes named subgenera such as Microparia and Quadratapyge. Cyclopygid trilobites are associated with enlarged eyes, while species of Microparia are separated in part by the outline of the pygidium and the development of its axial region and border.
